2022/2025 Auction Statistics
149 lots sold at auction in 2025 for a total turnover of USD 7,529,420. The sell-through rate remains solid in 2025 at 91.4%.
148 lots sold at auction in 2024 for a total turnover of USD 5,831,018, this compares to 181 lots sold in 2023 for a turnover of USD 10,037,881. The sell-through rate remains solid in 2024 at 91.9%, but still substantially lower than the 96.5% in 2022.

This sharp decrease in 2024 is explained by the top of the market, for example Andy Mouse generated a turnover of USD 3,048,405 in 2023, notably through the sale of two complete sets, whereas it generated a turnover of only USD 200,311 in 2024, through the sale of only one single print.

Contribution Analysis
CURRENTLY BEING UPDATED
The table below shows the contribution of each major series to the turnover for each year 2022-2024.
3 series contribute just over 50% of the cumulative turnover on the period. With no surprise, Andy Mouse and Pop Shop Prints are clearly the most contributing series to auction results for Keith Haring Prints.
Contribution Table

#1. Andy Mouse
Those are the most expensive prints released by Keith Haring, not only due to its relatively small edition size of 30, but they are also signed by Andy Warhol. Andy Mouse with only 6 lots including two sets contributes 30.8% to the total turnover of 2023. With two lots including one complete set, it contributes 15.9% to the 2022 turnover. Only one print sold in 2024.
#2. Pop Shop Prints
The Pop Shop Prints are the most sold prints at auction in a very consistent manner year after year. They are the most iconic representations of Keith Haring life and career. 27 lots from Pop Shop sold at auction in 2024 for a turnover of USD 1,265,683. This includes 6 complete sets for a turnover of USD 564,193. This compares to 34 lots sold in 2023, including 4 complete sets for a total turnover of USD 1,544,420; and to 35 lots (including 7 complete sets) sold at auction in 2022 for a turnover of USD 1,573,963.
#3. Growing
The Growing Suite is also very popular among collectors, notably the Trial Proofs in unique color combination.
Andy Mouse, 1986
In 1985-86, Keith Haring created the artworks Andy Mouse as tributes to his friend, hero, and mentor Andy Warhol. This was an extremely prolific time period for Haring, coming off the heels of his second major exhibition at Tony Shafrazi Gallery in New York in 1984. It was at this show that Warhol and Haring first met. The two artists immediately bonded over their shared belief in creating “Art for Everybody” and their mutual admiration of Walt Disney, who had inspired both of their artistic practices. From the moment they met, a deep friendship blossomed between Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, forging a close bond that extended beyond the art world. Haring frequented Warhol’s iconic Factory, and their encounters sparked a unique exchange of artistic creations. They would often trade works, drawing inspiration from each other’s distinctive styles and visions.

FIND ALL HISTORICAL AUCTION RESULTS
Andy Mouse is the most expensive single print by Keith Haring to have sold at auction. Not only this series is the perfect example of the work of the artist at the top of his career, but the edition size is relatively small at 30, and, more importantly, it is also signed by the subject himself: Andy Warhol.

The Growing Suite features some of Haring’s most iconic humanoid figures. It also displays captivating visual experimentation not seen in some of the artist’s earlier works. Haring uses his signature ‘energy lines’ to depict groups of figures merging their energies, reflecting his faith in collective action. Five years after his first silkscreens, these prints showed off his natural talent for the medium.

Prints from Growing are some of the most sought-after at auction, not only because they are very fine example of the artist’s work at maturity, but also because Keith Haring released Trial Proofs with unique color combinations, same as Warhol did for most of his prints series. Those unique prints command high prices at auction.

Dog, 1985
First appearing in a subway drawing series from 1980-85, the barking dog is one of Keith Haring’s most well-known subjects. Both dogs and dog-human hybrids feature prominently in his works. Interpreted as a universal symbol of resistance and protection, barking to call out social injustice, the dog warns viewers of the abuses of power that pervade everyday life in America and beyond.
